Holy Cross Hospital – Mountain Point in Lehi now publicly discloses its full patient safety record through a new national badge program, giving area families free access to detailed quality scores on everything from infection rates to maternity care.

The hospital at 3000 North Triumph Blvd. earned the 2026 Leapfrog Full Transparency Badge after completing all sections of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, a voluntary annual reporting program run by The Leapfrog Group, an independent nonprofit founded in 2000. The badge was announced July 30 as part of a broader recognition of all five CommonSpirit Health hospitals in Utah.

The Full Transparency Badge is new this year. The Leapfrog Group launched the program May 12 to identify hospitals that voluntarily open their performance data to the public. It is separate from Leapfrog's better-known A-through-F Hospital Safety Grade.

What the data shows

Holy Cross Mountain Point's publicly available Leapfrog profile includes specific scores submitted June 24. Among the highlights:

  • Perfect 120/120 scores on both "Effective Leadership to Prevent Errors" and "Staff Work Together to Prevent Errors"
  • 98% barcode medication administration compliance
  • A C. difficile infection ratio of 0.755, meaning fewer infections than expected, rated "Considerable Achievement"
  • An 18.3% C-section rate, well below the 23.6% standard, with 890 live births in the reporting period
  • 9.79 total nursing hours per patient day, including 7.36 registered nurse hours
  • 224 total knee replacements and 63 total hip replacements, both meeting volume standards

The hospital also reports it does not sue patients over unpaid bills and provides detailed bills within 30 days of receiving insurance payments.

Growth context

Lehi added 5,849 residents between mid-2022 and mid-2023, a 6.9% growth rate that made it Utah's fastest-growing city that year, according to KSL reporting on Census data. The city has appeared in the state's top 10 for growth every year this decade, per the University of Utah's Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute.

Jeremy Bradshaw, Utah Market President for CommonSpirit Health, said in a July 30 statement that the badge reflects the system's commitment to sharing safety data so families can make informed decisions about their care.

All five CommonSpirit Utah hospitals received the badge: Holy Cross Mountain Point (Lehi), Holy Cross Hospital – Davis (Layton), Holy Cross Hospital – Salt Lake, Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley, and Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley (West Jordan).
