Utah County confirms first West Nile virus case of 2026

The Utah County Health Department confirmed the county's first human West Nile virus case of the 2026 season on Monday, Aug. 31, involving neuroinvasive disease, and urged residents across Alpine, Highland, Cedar Hills and Lehi to use repellent, wear protective clothing and eliminate standing water.
