Cedar Hills residents should expect rolling road closures and detours on three days in August as the city resurfaces streets throughout Cedar Hills.

The work is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 13, Monday, Aug. 17, and Wednesday, Aug. 19, with different neighborhoods affected each day. The city has not announced start or end times for any of the three days.

Cedar Hills color-coded each work day so residents can check which streets near them will be closed: Purple marks Aug. 13 routes, Green marks Aug. 17, and Pink marks Aug. 19. Detailed maps for each day and a combined all-days map are posted on the city's website.

The project is the second phase of Cedar Hills' 2026 HA5 resurfacing program. The first phase ran over five days from Monday, July 6 through Wednesday, July 15, covering other sections of the city under a similar color-coded system. HA5 is a pavement preservation surface treatment, one of the least expensive options available for extending road life.

The city is asking drivers to follow posted detour signs so crews can finish on schedule.
