A 21-year-old Lehi singer-songwriter who picked up a ukulele at 12 and never put it down is coming home to headline Sunday's Arts in the Park concert.

Alivia Hadfield took the stage at Margaret Wines Park, 500 N. Center St., at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, according to the Lehi Free Press. The show was free and open to all ages.

Hadfield's origin story starts with a dare. Her older brother handed her a ukulele before leaving the state and told her to learn two songs by the time he got back. She wrote several of her own instead. That creative spark led to local open mics, songwriter rounds, and eventually recording sessions in Nashville, where she co-wrote her breakout single "Villain."

Since then, the independent artist has topped 400,000 total streams and built a base of 10,000 monthly listeners without a label behind her. She opened for country artist Drew Baldridge and earned top-three finalist honors in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and a semifinal spot in the International Songwriting Competition.

The Lehi Arts Council described Hadfield as a country-pop artist who writes about "awkward dating experiences, mixed signals, and growing up."

Hadfield's newest single, "Situationship," was set for release Friday, July 31, one day before the Wines Park show. She is also a featured artist with Nashville in the Rockies, a Utah-based nonprofit that supports local musicians.

The Arts in the Park series, organized by the Lehi City Arts Council, runs Sunday evenings throughout the summer at Wines Park. The Arts Council is no longer accepting performer requests for the 2026 season. Attendees should arrive early and bring folding chairs or a blanket.
