Lehi residents who relied on Everbridge for emergency alerts need to sign up for a new system.

The city launched Lehi Connect on Tuesday, Aug. 11, a notification platform that lets residents choose exactly which updates they receive and how they get them. The system replaces Everbridge, which previously handled the city's emergency communications.

The old system is gone.

Unlike Everbridge, Lehi Connect lets users pick specific topics and delivery methods. Residents can opt into text messages, emails or phone calls covering categories including road closures, power outages, water restrictions, recreation programs, library news, public meetings and city events. The platform can also target alerts geographically, so a water main break or road closure notification goes only to the affected neighborhood.

Who already has an account

Anyone paying Lehi City utilities already has a Lehi Connect account. Those residents just need to log in at lehi.yoppify.com to customize their preferences. Residents without a utility account can create one at the same address.

Utility customers will automatically receive essential notices about road projects in their area, billing reminders, service interruptions, water leak alerts and usage information, according to the city's Lehi Connect page. Those alerts arrive whether or not a resident customizes additional subscriptions.

Emergency alerts: what changes, what doesn't

Emergency notifications for severe weather, public safety alerts and emergency road closures will now come through Lehi Connect instead of Everbridge. Residents who used Everbridge will need to sign in to Lehi Connect to ensure they continue receiving city alerts.

Reserve 911 notifications will continue to come directly from Central District Dispatch, working with police and fire agencies. Those are separate from Lehi Connect and won't be affected by the transition.

What's next

The city said utility billing services will be available through Lehi Connect soon, consolidating account management and notifications in one place. No specific date has been announced for that feature.

Lehi City promoted the launch on its official Instagram account on Aug. 12, encouraging residents to sign in and customize their preferences.
