Lone Peak beat Bingham 32-14 on Thursday, Oct. 15, closing the regular season on a two-game winning streak.

The Knights built a 23-0 halftime lead and held on through a Bingham rally, according to the Deseret News Week 10 roundup. Senior running back Ayden Laws opened the scoring with a 10-yard touchdown run at 7:31 in the first quarter. Junior Marshall Durfey, who is listed as a running back on the Lone Peak roster, threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to senior receiver Krew Robinson. Junior kicker Logan Niccum added a 19-yard field goal before the break.

Bingham (3-7) answered in the second half. Beckham Greaves caught two touchdown passes to cut into the lead. But freshman outside linebacker Christian Stroshine ended the threat, returning an interception for a touchdown as the third quarter expired.

The nonregion win left the Highland-based Knights at 5-5 overall and 1-3 in 6A Region 3, good for fourth in the region, according to MaxPreps. Lone Peak scored 244 points this season and allowed 234. The Knights are on a two-game streak after beating Lehi 14-7 on the road Oct. 8.

All three of Lone Peak's region losses were decided by one score or fewer. The American Fork game on Sept. 24 ended 28-24. Officials ruled Knights receiver Jaxon Cloward out of bounds short of the goal line on the final play, as first reported by Yahoo Sports.

The Oct. 2 loss to Skyridge was just as close at 27-24, decided by a field goal as time expired, as reported by the Lehi Free Press. The Corner Canyon loss on Sept. 18 finished 37-14.
