Alpine's signature rodeo is running again after an apparent interruption during the festival's opening stretch, with Saturday night's closing show still open for ticket buyers.

Alpine City announced on X on Thursday, Aug. 13, that the rodeo was "back on" during the final nights of Alpine Days, the weeklong festival running Aug. 8–15 under the theme "Celebrating America's 250 Years of Freedom." The city did not specify what caused the disruption.

The professional rodeo features eight events across three nights at Lambert Park Rodeo Grounds. Gates open at 6:15 p.m., Mutton Bustin' kicks off at 6:45 p.m. and the main rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 14, is sold out. Saturday, Aug. 15, tickets remain available at $15 through the Alpine Days website via Vega Events, the only authorized seller.

A handful of Saturday Mutton Bustin' registrations are still open, but participants must hold a Saturday rodeo ticket. Registration includes the child's admission.

Alpine City warned residents on June 11 that fraudulent rodeo tickets have appeared on third-party sites. Those tickets will not be honored at the gate.
