Two of Utah County's top 6A programs face nationally traveling opponents Saturday, Aug. 29, giving local fans a rare look at cross-country competition without leaving the state.

Skyridge (1-1) faces the Hun School of Princeton, New Jersey, at 11 a.m. on KJZZ/KMYU as part of a tripleheader at West High School in Salt Lake City. Lehi (1-1) takes on St. James Performance Academy of Springfield, Virginia, at 3 p.m. on KJZZ at home.

Skyridge vs. Hun (N.J.), 11 a.m., KJZZ/KMYU

The Falcons, ranked No. 4 in the preseason Preece Power Poll and considered a 6A title contender, come in riding momentum from a come-from-behind 21-14 win over Orem on Aug. 22. Quarterback Jagger Fountaine threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to Omarian Sanders to tie the game, and running back Beckham Bennett punched in the winner from four yards out with 3:35 left.

Coach Justin Hemm told KSL Sports after the Orem win that he'd stack his defense against any unit in the state, crediting the group for keeping the Falcons in the game while the offense found its rhythm.

Hun brings serious firepower. Junior quarterback Lukas Prock, the reigning New Jersey Prep Offensive Player of the Year and an Indiana commit, completed 17 of 21 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns in a 55-8 rout of Montreal Academy on Aug. 21. Prock threw for 4,330 yards and 42 touchdowns last season. Three Hun players hold Division I commitments, including tight ends Collin Walls (Temple) and Tommy Douglas (Florida).

Hun coach Todd Smith told Community News after the opener that his team is ready for the trip: "Now we get to fly out to Utah and see what we're made of."

The Raiders' national schedule also includes road trips to Cornerstone Christian Academy in Texas and IMG Academy in Florida.

Lehi vs. St. James Performance (Va.), 3 p.m., KJZZ

Lehi looks to bounce back after a 42-0 loss to Mountain Ridge on Aug. 21. The Pioneers opened the season with a 35-13 win over Maple Mountain on Aug. 14, when senior quarterback Briggs Jensen threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns and receiver Cam Wren hauled in seven catches for 153 yards and two scores.

St. James Performance Academy enters ranked No. 92 nationally in the High School Football America 300 preseason rankings. Lehi sits at No. 280. The Virginia program's schedule reads like a national tour: Paramus Catholic (N.J.), IMG Academy (Fla.) and St. Frances Academy (Md.) all follow the Lehi trip.

Head coach Andy Hadfield, in his second year leading the Pioneers, said after the Aug. 14 opener that the team is building confidence. He told the Lehi Free Press he is excited to watch this group grow and is more relaxed about what they can execute on the field.

Both games air on KJZZ, with the Skyridge-Hun kickoff at 11 a.m. and Lehi-St. James at 3 p.m. Saturday. The tripleheader at West High closes with Orem facing California powerhouse Mater Dei at 7 p.m.
