Lone Peak won its second consecutive 6A girls tennis state team championship Saturday, Oct. 10, posting 53 points at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City.

The Knights repeated as champions despite losing five of seven starters to graduation after the 2025 title. Skyridge finished second with 46 points, followed by Bingham (42), Corner Canyon (27) and American Fork (21), according to tournament results reported by the Deseret News.

Lone Peak's singles depth drove the victory. Halle Kitchen, the top seed in second singles, won the individual title after cruising through early rounds. She defeated Copper Hills' Halle Searle 6-2, 6-0 in the quarterfinals en route to the championship.

Lily Goodwin, the top seed in third singles, won straight-set matches throughout the bracket. She beat Lehi's Sahasya Raj Sandepogu 6-0, 6-1 in the quarterfinals and never lost a set in the tournament.

Senior Ava Jensen, seeded second in first singles, reached the championship match. Bingham junior Kamryn Newman defeated Jensen 6-1, 6-0 in the final, denying Lone Peak a sweep of all three singles titles. Jensen had rolled through her earlier rounds, beating Syracuse's Sadie Smith 6-1, 6-0 in the quarterfinals.

Skyridge's push to second place came in the No. 2 doubles final. Anabelle Rowley and Chloe Barker, the top seeds, defeated Lone Peak's Meheek Sameer and Brinley Santiago 6-7, 6-2, 6-3. That three-set win moved the Falcons past Bingham in the team standings.

Bingham's Madison Yeates and Evalyn Roberts won the No. 1 doubles title over Skyridge's Kiri Sperry and Molly Jarvie.

Lehi sent players into several brackets. Sandepogu fell to Goodwin in the third singles round of 16. Ella Gonzalez lost to Davis' Grace Chapman 6-1, 6-4 in the first singles round of 16, and Kinley Olson lost to American Fork's Bella Harris 6-3, 6-4 in the second singles round of 16. Claire Thatcher and Breckyn Holindrake reached the second doubles quarterfinals before falling to Bingham's Alivia Moss and Chloe Brown 6-2, 6-2.

The 6A state tournament was the final event of the 2026 girls tennis season for Lone Peak, Skyridge and Lehi.
