A Lehi family that sells pumpkins and squash from their front yard on the honor system doubled its crop for fall 2026 and brought the stand back to 234 E. 200 S.

Shanna Christensen, an owner of Christensen Farms, said the family switched from wholesale to direct neighborhood sales in 2025. The stand's return was first reported by Lehi Free Press.

"We have always done wholesale with our products, and we thought we could offer the community a better value on locally grown fresh produce if we sold direct," Christensen said.

The stand runs on trust.

No cashier is present. Customers pick what they want and leave payment on their own. Christensen said neighbors have been honest enough to keep the system working, and the positive response encouraged the family to expand for a second season.

The Christensens describe their operation as a sixth-generation family farm located about two miles south of American Fork. The family lives in Lehi and drives a truck back and forth to restock the stand several times a day.

"There's always more," Christensen told Lehi Free Press. "We just go load a truck to get it."

Pumpkins and squash range from $2 to $6. Corn stalks, sold as fall decorations, cost $5 each.

The selection includes large and small pumpkins in orange, green and white. Shoppers will also find "warted" varieties, plain white pumpkins and minis. Squash options include butternut, buttercup, acorn and spaghetti squash.

Beyond the fall stand, Christensen Farms grows corn and hay. The family posts on Facebook Marketplace when other products are available and said it hopes to add new offerings based on what residents want.

The stand is open at 234 E. 200 S. in Lehi for the fall season. No closing date has been announced.
