Highland City residents can learn American Mah Jongg for free starting Monday, Sept. 28, through a two-part beginner series.

The city posted the program details under its library programming. Two sessions are available, each capped at 20 learners on a first-come, first-served basis. If more than 20 people sign up, organizers will try to rotate additional learners in.

Part 1 attendance is required before Part 2. The city noted that Part 1 material will not be repeated in the second class.
