Skyridge girls volleyball is 15-3 and ranked No. 4 in the state after winning 11 of 12 matches across September's first two weeks, the Lehi Free Press reported.

The Falcons opened the month with a 3-1 road win over Weber on Sept. 2, then swept all five best-of-three matches to win Division I of the Las Vegas Island Classic on Sept. 4-5. They followed that with a 5-1 showing at the Utah Valley Invitational from Sept. 10-12. The run pushed Skyridge from 4-2 to 15-3 heading into Region 3 play.

Two Region 3 matches against top-ranked opponents open the gauntlet. Skyridge travels to top-ranked, undefeated Corner Canyon (9-0) on Tuesday, Sept. 15, then hosts No. 2 Lone Peak (5-0) on Thursday, Sept. 17. Varsity matches start around 6:30 p.m.

Lone Peak already looked dominant in its Region 3 opener, sweeping Lehi 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-11) on Sept. 8, according to a separate Lehi Free Press recap. All five Region 3 teams, including American Fork, will be jockeying for playoff position through the rest of the schedule.

Junior outside hitter Sienna Kuresa has been the Falcons' most productive player this month. Against Weber she posted 14 kills, 13 digs and 17 serve-receives. At the Utah Valley Invitational she put up 16 kills, three aces, three block-assists, nine digs and 28 serve-receives in a four-set win over Owyhee of Meridian, Idaho, and added 15 kills, 28 digs and 34 serve-receives in a five-set loss to Provo.

Senior outside hitter Emma White matched that workload. White tallied 17 kills, 16 digs and 38 serve-receives in the Provo match, then recorded 16 kills and 21 serve-receives in a five-set comeback win over Green Canyon.

The back line kept Skyridge in extended rallies. Senior libero Estelle Slaney dug 36 balls with eight assists against Provo and posted 25 digs against Owyhee. Senior libero Alyssa Willits led the team with 17 digs in the Weber match. Junior middle blocker Emmie Mahe logged five combined blocks against Provo and five more against Owyhee.

Senior setter Allyceia Maae distributed 29 assists in the five-set Provo match and 22 against Green Canyon. Sophomore setter Sienna Warner served five aces with 15 assists in a sweep of Hurricane and added 22 assists in the Green Canyon win. Senior setter Hevani Tokelau contributed 12 assists against Weber and six digs with nine assists in the Shadow Ridge match at the Island Classic.

Skyridge's only September loss came against Provo in five sets (25-19, 20-25, 25-19, 20-25, 9-15). The Falcons avenged an earlier-season defeat to Green Canyon with a 17-25, 25-20, 25-15, 20-25, 15-13 comeback at the invitational.

After the Corner Canyon and Lone Peak matches, Skyridge hosts Lehi on Tuesday, Sept. 22, with varsity play set for around 6:30 p.m.
