The No. 2-ranked Skyridge Falcons will give area fans their first look at the 2026 squad when the program hosts its annual Orange-Gray intrasquad scrimmage and community fundraiser on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at Skyridge High School.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets cost $10 per person or $40 for a family of four or more, available at the gate.

Head Coach Justin Hemm told the Lehi Free Press the team is ready to compete after a productive offseason.

"The summer went great," Hemm said. "All the players have approached every workout, practice and team event with great energy and purpose. The scrimmage is always an exciting opportunity to compete and evaluate where we are."

Hemm said the team's veteran players have set a strong tone this summer and the entire roster is focused on daily improvement. He acknowledged there is still work to do but said the program likes where it is headed as it prepares for a demanding schedule.

The Falcons enter the season ranked No. 2 in Class 6A in the Deseret News preseason coaches poll, receiving four first-place votes behind only Corner Canyon. Skyridge went 9-3 in 2025. Lone Peak, also from the Alpine-Highland-Lehi area, sits at No. 3 with four first-place votes after an 8-5 campaign.

More than a scrimmage

The Aug. 7 event doubles as a fundraiser for the football program. A silent auction features items including a Kneaders gift basket, a Les Schwab roadside kit and oil change, BYU and Utah gear, a Photos by Greg senior photo shoot, and Sorel boots, with all proceeds going directly to the team.

Food trucks and a bake sale will be set up at the north end of the field. The Skyridge cheer squad, drill team, and dance company will perform, and mini drill camp participants will give a special performance of their own.

Youth football players will be introduced on the field, and senior athletes from football, drill, dance, and cheer will sign media guides at an autograph session. New orange and gray Skyridge merchandise will also be available for purchase.
