Westbound 2100 North in Lehi will close nightly at the I-15 interchange starting Friday, Nov. 6. Three straight nights of full closures will hit a common route between I-15, Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain.
UDOT warned drivers Nov. 5 to plan for significant delays near Exit 282, ABC4 reported. The closures affect 2100 North (SR-194) in both directions.
Westbound closures
Westbound 2100 North will close at Ashton Boulevard on this schedule:
- Friday, Nov. 6, at 9 p.m. until Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7 a.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 7, at 9 p.m. until Sunday, Nov. 8, at noon
- Sunday, Nov. 8, at 9 p.m. until Monday, Nov. 9, at 5 a.m.
One lane will remain open during daytime hours. Drivers should still expect backup.
Eastbound lanes and 2300 West
Eastbound 2100 North will also be reduced to one lane at 2300 West from Friday, Nov. 6, at 9 p.m. until Monday, Nov. 9, at 5 a.m.
2300 West between westbound and eastbound 2100 North will close entirely over the same period, shutting down at 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, and reopening at 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9.
Why the work is happening
The closures will allow Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) crews to replace a sewer line as part of the 2100 North Freeway Project. That project is building a 2.8-mile freeway connection between I-15 and Mountain View Corridor, with completion expected in late 2028.
When finished, the freeway is expected to save east-west commuters about 12 minutes in each direction during peak periods, according to UDOT's project page.
Ongoing construction at the interchange
The closures follow earlier work at the same interchange. In late October, UDOT shifted southbound I-15 traffic at 2100 North to establish a new traffic pattern expected to remain through May 2027, according to the Daily Herald.
