Alpine residents can haul yard waste, old furniture and other household junk to Creekside Park for free disposal on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Dumpsters will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of the city's Fall Neighborhood Cleanup Day, Alpine City announced on Instagram.

What you can bring:

  • Tree limbs and shrubbery
  • Grass clippings and green yard waste
  • Building materials
  • Furniture
  • Limited appliances
  • Household items

What's not accepted:

The city listed a long roster of prohibited items. Sod, dirt, rocks, treated wood, animal waste and construction debris are all off the list. So are lithium-ion batteries, regular batteries, anything containing freon, hazardous materials, tanks, drums and barrels.

Refrigerators, mattresses, box springs, concrete, railroad ties, tires and motorized vehicles of any kind will also be turned away. The city said it will not accept liquid or septic loads, toxic or flammable materials, or dead animals .
