Lehi's Planning Commission will take up the city's 2021 blueprint for bike lanes, trails, and sidewalks when it reviews an update to the Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan on Thursday, August 6.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at Lehi City Council Chambers, 153 N. 100 E. The plan update is the sole substantive item on the agenda.

The master plan maps existing and future bike facilities and uses resident feedback to shape where pedestrian and cycling infrastructure gets built. The city's Engage Lehi page for the project was last updated July 16.

Mike West, Lehi's Planning Division Manager, is leading the update project and can be reached at 385-201-2518. The agenda does not name a presenter for the August 6 session, and no staff report or supporting materials have been posted publicly.

The update has moved through one layer of city review. The Lehi City Council received a presentation on the plan's vision, goals, and map at its April 28 meeting.

The review arrives as Lehi's growth continues to strain its transportation network. The city's population stands at an estimated 93,446, according to its FY2026 budget, making it Utah's eighth-largest city. The city issued 645 new permits for homes and businesses in the most recent budget year. Since 2018, Lehi has added 37 miles of new paved trails citywide, including 17 miles in Traverse Mountain, according to a January 2026 city newsletter. The city celebrated the "Golden Spoke" connection in 2020, linking more than 30 miles of continuous paved trail between Salt Lake and Utah Counties.
