Ali Mulhall fired back-to-back 7-under 65s to win the 10th annual Larry H. Miller Utah Women's Open by four shots at TalonsCove Golf Club in Saratoga Springs, a course just minutes from Lehi that has become a fixture of competitive Utah golf.

The 21-year-old St. George professional finished at 14-under par on Tuesday, Aug. 4, earning $4,000 in what the Deseret News called "arguably the most dominating performance in the tournament's 10 years."

Mulhall turned pro in 2025 after winning more than 370 tournaments as an amateur and junior golfer, according to her website. Her second round at TalonsCove's par-72, 5,782-yard layout opened with an eagle 3 on the par-5 first hole, a bogey on No. 2, then a birdie on No. 5 and another eagle on the par-5 ninth. She finished the tournament with 11 birdies and two eagles across 36 holes.

The last time Mulhall played TalonsCove, she lost on the 18th hole to Kelsey Chugg in the 2024 Utah Women's Amateur final.

This time, Chugg finished ninth. The 35-year-old six-time Utah Women's Amateur champion and associate director of golf for Salt Lake City shot 71-69 for a 4-under 140 total. Chugg came into the tournament off a loss in the Women's Am final the previous week to Taylorsville's Ashley Lam, ending her bid for a seventh title. Her career match-play record in the State Am stands at 45-8 across 15 appearances.

Oregon native Haley Costello, who played collegiately at Colorado State and Tulsa, placed second at 10-under (68-66). Former BYU golfer and current BYU women's assistant golf coach Lea Garner finished third at 7-under (69-68). Garner won the first two Utah Women's Open titles in 2017 and 2018.

Former Arizona State golfer Grace Summerhays, making her professional debut, tied for fourth at 6-under with former BYU star Kerstin Ngakuru. Defending champion Emilee Hoffman of Salt Lake City tied for sixth at 5-under.

Makena Junkin of Burleson, Texas, a Texas Wesleyan golfer, was the tournament's low amateur, also tying for sixth at 5-under.

Mulhall's win marks the second straight year a professional has claimed the title, ending a run of six consecutive amateur victories from 2019 through 2024. The free-admission tournament drew professionals and amateurs from across Utah and the region to TalonsCove, which also hosted the 2024 Utah Women's State Amateur and the 2025 5A boys golf state championship.

The 100th Larry H. Miller Utah Open, the men's counterpart, begins Friday, Aug. 14, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 16, at Riverside Country Club in Provo.
