Lehi High graduate Legend Glasker caught five passes for 131 receiving yards in BYU's 41-23 win over Colorado State on Saturday, Sept. 19. The total is the fourth-best single-game mark by a BYU freshman, according to the Deseret News.

The Cougars improved to 3-0 at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Glasker's signature play came on BYU's second possession. Quarterback Bear Bachmeier launched a 52-yard pass down the left sideline, and the true freshman snagged it with one hand while a defensive back grabbed at his arm. Glasker then dragged defenders another 18 yards to the 2-yard line, turning the play into a roughly 70-yard gain.

"I didn't even know I caught it with one hand," Glasker told reporters after the game. "The (defensive back) was trying to grab my arm, so I was trying to get separation and the ball literally just fell right in my arm."

It was his second one-hander in two weeks. He said he ran the same post route that produced a similar catch the previous week against Arizona.

By halftime, Glasker had three catches for 113 yards and added a 5-yard rushing touchdown that pushed BYU's lead to 31-7. He finished with five receptions, 131 receiving yards and the rushing score.

Bachmeier said he simply threw the ball up and let Glasker make the play.

The performance continues a fast start for the 2026 Lehi Pioneer turned Cougar. In his Sept. 5 debut against Utah Tech, Glasker scored three touchdowns and became the first BYU freshman with three or more scores in a game since Jamaal Williams in 2012, as the Lehi Free Press reported. After that Sept. 5 debut, Glasker told the Lehi Free Press: "Bear is just so smart, and I feel like his smarts help me do better on the field."

Glasker graduated early from Lehi High and enrolled at BYU for spring practice. As a senior with the Pioneers, he posted 676 receiving yards, 206 rushing yards and 11 total touchdowns, according to BYU Athletics. He is the cousin of BYU linebacker Isaiah Glasker.

He was not the only Cougar who dominated. Running back LJ Martin rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns in the first half alone, including a 56-yard score on BYU's second play. Bachmeier finished 12-of-16 for 227 yards. BYU piled up 332 rushing yards and 559 total yards of offense.

Kickoff had been delayed 75 minutes by rain and lightning, but the weather did not slow BYU. The Cougars led 31-7 at halftime and 38-7 late in the third quarter before Colorado State added 16 fourth-quarter points.

BYU enters a bye week and returns to action at TCU on Oct. 3.
