Lehi City Council members will vote on annexing 2.68 acres near 1300 South and 1700 West when they meet Tuesday, Nov. 10.
The Logan Annexation is on the regular agenda after the council tabled the item at its Oct. 27 meeting. Property owner Danny Logan petitioned to bring the land into city limits, according to the Nov. 10 agenda. The proposed zoning is R-1-22 and TH-5.
A public hearing will open the annexation discussion during the 7 p.m. regular session. The council will then consider Resolution #2026-64, approving an annexation agreement with the property owners, and Ordinance #50-2026, approving the annexation itself.
The council on Sept. 22 passed Resolution #2026-54 signaling its intent to annex the property, according to a public notice posted by Lehi City. That notice states the annexation will proceed unless owners of real property within the proposed area file written protests at or before the public hearing. Those protests must cover a majority of the total private land area and equal at least half the assessed value of all private real property in the annexation area.
Zone change and Clark Meadows
JDJ Investments LLC is asking the council to rezone 1.89 acres at approximately 1840 North and 2300 West from A-5 to R-1-8. The agenda lists the request as the Jarvis Zone Change. The Lehi Planning Commission reviewed the proposal at its Oct. 22 meeting.
Matt Loveland is requesting approval of an updated Clark Meadows concept plan with 12 lots near 1700 West and 1300 South. The proposal asks for two lots of bonus density instead of reimbursement for project improvements. The Planning Commission also reviewed this item Oct. 22.
PARC grants and other business
Six organizations will present to the council during a 5 p.m. pre-council session about Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture (PARC) tax grant funds. The presenters are Thanksgiving Point Institute, Chabad of Utah County, Grassroots Shakespeare Company, Lehi Historical Society & Archives, Lehi Area Music Association and Lehi Arts Council.
A separate group of six PARC grant recipients is scheduled to present at a Monday, Nov. 9, council session.
The consent agenda includes three interlocal agreements with Utah County: Resolution #2026-70 for an SR-92 pedestrian bridge at Center Street, Resolution #2026-72 for a third amendment to the 2300 West widening project between Main Street and 2100 North, and Resolution #2026-73 for the 2300 West widening from Pioneer Crossing to Main Street. Resolution #2026-71, an agreement with Cole Peck for Mill Pond Waterlines Phase II construction, is also on the consent agenda.
The council will also consider Ordinance #51-2026, which would remove the requirement for automatic sprinkler systems throughout the Dry Creek Corridor. A comprehensive update to Chapter 39 of the Development Code, consolidating definitions from other chapters, rounds out the regular agenda.
The pre-council session begins at 5 p.m. with Mixed Use Zone code updates and a continued review of General Plan goals. The regular session starts at 7 p.m. at Lehi City Council Chambers, 131 N. 100 E.
