Highland's biggest annual celebration kicks off Thursday, July 30, at Heritage Park with four days of food, live entertainment, a parade, and fireworks to close out the weekend.

The 2026 Highland Fling runs through Sunday, August 2. Highland City calls the festival's final day "Gold Day," featuring a Grand Parade and a fireworks show launched from Highland Family Park.

Heritage Night: Thursday, July 30

Highland City described opening night as a night of good food and fun. Thursday carries a Heritage Night theme, with a Mayor's Welcome, a Scottish Village with vendors, a Fireman Fundraiser Dinner benefiting the Lone Peak Fire Department, an interactive blacksmith demonstration, a car show, Celtic dancing from the Barclay School of Dance and Archibald Academy of Dance, an Earth Wings Bird Show, and a performance by the Synkofa Celtic Band. Luau Night: Friday, July 31

Highland City posted on July 24 that Friday will be Luau Night, with food, entertainment, and island-inspired fun at Heritage Park.

Saturday, August 1

Saturday's lineup includes Battle of the Bands, Highland's Got Talent, a Strongman Competition, a Fine Art Show, food trucks, and a Movie Night screening of "The Little Mermaid" (1989), according to NowPlayingUtah.

Gold Day: Sunday, August 2

The festival wraps with the Grand Parade running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Following the parade, Highland City is hosting an America's 250th anniversary celebration at Heritage Park featuring live music, historical reenactments, and patriotic performances presented by the Colonial Heritage Foundation. Fireworks launch from Highland Family Park, separate from the main Heritage Park venue.

Highland City has published a Kids Adventure Guide and is promoting a "Passport to America Challenge" as interactive activities for families attending the festival.
