The 78th annual Steel Days celebration is underway in American Fork, and for families across Alpine, Cedar Hills, and Highland, it's the marquee summer festival just minutes away.
The American Fork Chamber of Commerce, which serves businesses and communities in American Fork, Alpine, Cedar Hills, and Highland, is running more than 35 events through Saturday, July 26. The lineup mixes long-standing traditions with newer additions, including a new America 250 Drone Show & Hot Air Balloon Glow marking the nation's 250th anniversary.
Grand Parade
The Steel Days Grand Parade steps off Saturday, July 25, at 9 a.m. The route starts at 300 West and Main Street, heads east on Main Street to 100 East, turns north to 300 North, then east to 600 East, ending at American Fork High School.
Parade-goers should note that spot reservations along the route were permitted starting Friday, July 18, at 5 p.m., according to the Steel Days committee.
Pre-parade breakfast
Before the parade, the American Fork High School Marching Band hosts its annual breakfast in the Macey's parking lot at 135 E. Main St. from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday, July 25. Tickets cost $6 for adults (12 and over), $3 for children ages 3–11, and are free for toddlers. No cash accepted; credit card only.
One hundred percent of each band member's ticket sales goes directly to that student. Macey's and Doug Smith Auto sponsor the event.
What else is on the schedule
Other events range from a Pickleball Tournament and Symphony in the Park to a Jigsaw Puzzle Competition, Kids Splash Night, and American Fork's Got Talent. The Big Show & Fireworks caps the festival; the festival's promotional materials name Red Hot Revolution as the headliner. Check steeldaysaf.com for specific dates and times.
How to plan your week
The full schedule, event times, and locations are posted at steeldaysaf.com. A 2026 Steel Days Magazine is available online, and official merchandise can be purchased through the festival's merch store.
