AT&T wants to mount a cell antenna on top of Primary Children's Hospital in Lehi. That request is one of five land-use items the Lehi Planning Commission will take up at a public hearing Thursday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 131 N. 100 E.

The agenda also includes architectural exceptions for a storage building at the Outlets at Traverse Mountain and a proposed rewrite of the city's development agreement rules.

AT&T antenna at Primary Children's Hospital

AT&T is asking for conditional use approval to place a telecommunications antenna on the roof of Primary Children's Hospital at 2250 N. Miller Campus Drive. The item, listed as the "AT&T River Walk Preliminary Children's Antenna," was originally scheduled for the Aug. 27 Planning Commission meeting but was pulled from that agenda.

Outlets at Traverse Mountain storage building

Uncommon Architecture, representing the Outlets at Traverse Mountain at 3800 Cabela's Blvd., is requesting five architectural exceptions for a proposed storage building that would house holiday decorations. The building would not be open to the public, and the applicant wants it to blend into the hillside, according to a project description on EngageLehi.

The exceptions include exceeding the maximum 25-foot setback, exceeding the 20 percent limit on exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) material, falling below the 40 percent glass requirement on the front façade, omitting a hierarchical feature at building entrances and omitting three architectural features per façade.

Development agreement code rewrite

Lehi City is asking the commission to recommend changes to Chapter 29 of the Development Code, which governs development agreements. The chapter was last amended in September 2018.

The proposed update would require development agreements to go through the Development Review Committee (DRC), then the Planning Commission with a public hearing, then the City Council, according to a project page on EngageLehi. It would also require applicants to explain how and when a development agreement ends. Katie Bussell, a Lehi City planner, is listed as the staff contact for the amendment.

Two more items

Adam Albrecht is requesting an exception for the Garden Park Subdivision at roughly 500 S. Center St. to replace a planned 6-foot no-climb fence along the railroad corridor with an 8-foot wall. Alpine Bible Church at 710 W. Main St. is seeking an exception to the city's glass requirement for its building.
